It's essential to stop judging ourselves by our past. It's the key to moving forward in our lives, clearing the path to becoming an empowered woman. We need to savor those things about ourselves that are healthy, wonderful and genuine. Yes, for us women in TRANSITION, those times represent a period mixed with sadness and despair; problems with family and friends, AND FOR SURE a brush with the law. It was also filled with embarrassing moments and poor decisions. Yet, our past contains an emotional and memory banquet... and if we choose wisely, something to feast on. The first step to a healthy NEW LIFE. I deserve it.

• Forgive yourself for the woman you were, it is essential for the woman you wish to become.
• The stigma we feel as women in TRANSITION, is really the shame we felt as abusers; don't confuse the two.
• As women in TRANSITION we should feel the pride that comes with achievement of one of the most difficult things in life.
